How it works
Adding the Praise Web Part to a SharePoint page takes a few minutes.
From the page editor, add a new web part, search for the Praise Web Part, and add it to the page.
From there, sending praise is straightforward:
01 Choose the colleague you want to recognise.
02 Select a praise type: Team Player, Went the Extra Mile, Customer Hero, Problem Solver, or Great Support.
03 Add a short comment explaining why, up to 255 characters.
04 Tick “Show in featured” if it’s a particularly good example, to highlight it on the feed and in the Featured filter.
05 Choose a positive GIF to celebrate it, and publish it to the feed.
Praise then appears as a card in the feed, showing the GIF, who was praised, who praised them, and why.
The web part also keeps a running tally at the top, showing how much praise has been sent and how many people have been recognised that week; so it’s easy to see recognition building up over time.
Filters let people switch between all praise, just featured praise, or what’s happened today.
The web part is flexible on the page too.
It works just as well in a narrow column as it does across the full width of a page, so it fits into an existing intranet layout rather than forcing a redesign.
